Lori Lyles, M.D.
Lori Lester Lyles (’84) is originally from Arlington, Virginia. She went to junior high school in Columbia, Missouri and high school in Due West, South Carolina. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from The College of Charleston in 1984. She attended medical school at MUSC and graduated in 1988. She completed an internship and residency program in obstetrics and gynecology in 1992 and has practiced in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina since that time. She no longer practices obstetrics but concentrates on midlife wellness and focuses on hormone replacement therapy, and weight management. Special interests throughout her career have been teen pregnancy prevention, the development of the Human Papilloma Virus vaccine, and focusing on disease prevention by diet and exercises.
