John Arthur Siegling Chair in Biology

The Siegling Chair in Biology was donated by Mrs. Magdalen H. Siegling in June 1988 to honor an outstanding member of the Department of Biology. The chair is awarded for a period of three years with the possibility of renewal. The individual selected to hold the chair must have demonstrated exemplary performance as a biological researcher in addition to evidence of excellence in teaching along with having shown substantial service to the department, the College, or the profession. Any Biology tenure-track faculty member at the rank of assistant professor or above is eligible for consideration.
